하현상이 가창에 참여한 tvN 드라마 '일타 스캔들'의 다섯 번째 OST 'Alright'은 브리티시 록 장르로, 누군가가 달려가는 듯한 베이스에 켜켜이 쌓여가는 악기들과 더불어 하현상의 트렌디한 목소리가 완벽하게 조화를 이루는 곡이다.

 

 

"So before end of our world You gotta feel this love (그래서 우리 세상이 끝나기 전에 이 사랑을 느껴야 해)", “So before we lose our light We gotta start this love (그러니 우리가 빛을 잃어버리기 전에 우리는 이 사랑을 시작해야 해)” 등 세상이 끝나기 전에, 우리가 원치 않는 모습이 되기 전에 사랑을 시작하면 괜찮을 거라는 메시지를 두려움 없는 소년처럼 표현한 하현상의 단단한 보컬이 인상적이다.

‘Alright' 가창에 참여한 하현상은 2018년 싱글 'Dawn'으로 데뷔 후 JTBC '슈퍼밴드'에서 밴드 호피폴라로 우승을 차지했으며, 두 번째 EP 'The Edge'와 '3108', '심야영화', '불꽃놀이' 등 싱글을 발매하며 활발한 음악 활동을 펼쳤다. 다채로운 OST에도 참여한 하현상은 특히 JTBC '나의 해방일지' OST 'Be My Birthday'를 통해 기존과는 다른 어쿠스틱한 음색으로 새로운 매력을 선보인 바 있다.
