IMLAY, 다섯 번째 EP 앨범 ‘STARDUST’ 공개! 낭만적이고 경쾌한 스페이스 펑크 장르의 총 4곡 수록! WayV 샤오쥔·Justin Starling·Yohan Kim 피처링 참여! 프로듀서 겸 DJ IMLAY가 다섯 번째 EP 앨범 ‘STARDUST’를 공개했다.

 

 

이번 앨범은 제목처럼 우주 공간 속 신비로운 별 무리 사이에 있는 듯한 낭만적이고 경쾌한 분위기가 돋보이는 스페이스 펑크 장르의 총 4곡으로 구성, IMLAY 특유의 밝고 희망찬 음악 색깔은 물론, 그간 일렉트로닉 및 K팝 프로듀서, DJ 등 다방면에서 다재다능한 아티스트의 면모를 보여준 IMLAY의 깊은 음악적 고민과 발전까지 엿볼 수 있다.

특히 타이틀 곡 ‘STARDUST’는 비발디 ‘사계’ 중 ‘봄’을 샘플링한 누 디스코 장르의 곡으로, 사랑에 빠진 벅찬 감정을 별들 사이에서 자유롭게 춤추는 모습으로 표현한 가사가 인상적이며, 피처링에 참여한 WayV 샤오쥔의 매력적인 음색이 더해졌다.

또한 시원한 챈트로 이번 앨범의 시작을 여는 ‘1,2,3,4’는 리드미컬한 베이스 라인과 화려한 브라스가 어우러진 누 펑크 장르의 곡으로, NCT 127 ‘Fact Check (불가사의; 不可思議)’, NCT DREAM ‘입김 (Take My Breath)’ 등을 작곡한 Justin Starling이 랩 메이킹 및 피처링에 함께 했다.

더불어 SM Classics 소속 재즈 피아니스트 Yohan Kim의 산뜻한 피아노 연주가 그루비한 베이스와 만나 상쾌함을 선사하는 퓨전 펑크 장르의 곡 ‘Honey, Lemon, Ginger’, IMLAY의 섬세하고 몽환적인 음악적 매력을 배가시킨 칠 트랩 장르의 곡 ‘Just Want You’도 수록, 리스너들의 좋은 반응이 기대된다.
