'edge of silence'는 전자음악가 'uberLAB'이 프로듀스하는 K-pop 프로젝트이다.

 

 

기존 'uberLAB'의 트레이드마크와도 같았던 일렉트로닉 장르에 국한되지 않고 인디 뮤지션들과의 협업을 통해 다양한 장르로의 확장을 시도하며 현재까지 15개의 싱글을 국내 뮤지션들과 협업하여 꾸준히 발매해왔다.

"Mute the Beat"는 YouTube에서 영어 버전의 "Plastic Love"와 더불어 다양한 80-90년대 커버송을 부르고 있는 신예 보컬리스트 Kyra Jun의 데뷔곡이다.
섬세한 표현력이 매력적인 그녀의 보이스가 돋보이는 이 곡은 '시티팝'이라고 불리는 장르로 funk, synthpop, jazz 등의 특징을 도시적이고 세련된 분위기로 해석하여 만들어졌다.
작사에 직접 참여한 Kyra Jun은 자신만의 이야기를 서정적이면서도 풋풋한 소녀의 감성으로 funky한 리듬 위에 표현하여 레트로한 느낌을 잘 살려냈다.
