모래성을 쌓을 때부터 그 성이 바닷물에 부서지고 깨지는 것을 상정하거나 바라고 쌓는 아이는 없다. 그렇기 때문에 다가오는 밀물을 바라보며 동동 구르는 마음이 더욱 순수하고 아름다운 것이다.

 

 

사람의 마음도 똑같지 않을까? 이 사람이 나의 곁을 계속 지켜줄까 걱정하고 마음을 얻기 위해 노력하는 그 모든 위태로움은 '안정'이라는 도착점만을 바라보고 달려가기 때문에 존재할 수 있다.

이를 알기에 아직은 서투르고 성급할지라도 하루빨리 미결의 상태에서 벗어나 서로를 온전히 사랑하고 싶은 조금의 투정 섞인 마음을 곡에 담았다. ‘자물쇠로 잠가두고 싶다'와 같은 꽤나 유치한 표현들로 너무 부담스러워 하지 않았으면 하는 멋쩍은 배려와 함께 말이다.
